Our view: Valiant is worth considering when you need someone to work through the finance structure, rather than simply name a lender. Its broad product coverage can help with connected equipment, property or working-capital needs. We would expect that assistance to result in a clear proposal and disclosed costs; a large panel is useful only if relevant lenders are considered.

A panel provides choice within limits
Valiant's current homepage uses a 90-plus lender headline while older text on the same site refers to a smaller panel. The durable point is access to participating bank and non-bank providers. Neither count establishes whole-market coverage or the number suitable for your application.
Ask whether the broker considered your existing bank and specialists relevant to your industry. More lenders in a panel do not automatically mean a lower price for a particular borrower.
Decide what help the business needs
For a straightforward term loan, a direct offer provides a practical price check. For a more involved requirement, also assess whether the broker has saved work and clarified conditions you might otherwise miss. Those benefits can justify the service, but they should be visible in the proposal rather than assumed from the panel count.
Judge the service by the proposal it produces
Valiant's current website presents a quote, approval and documentation process with lending-expert support (checked 5 October 2026). The practical benefit should be a proposal the business can understand, including which lenders were considered and what remains to be satisfied before funds arrive.
For a mixed requirement, ask for separate amounts and repayment sources. A $60,000 vehicle expected to work for years and a $20,000 stock gap lasting weeks do not necessarily belong on one repayment term. Conversely, using two products adds administration and may create overlapping security. Have the broker show why the proposed arrangement is preferable.
Give Valiant a full existing-debt schedule and consistent current accounts. Explain large deposits, seasonal receipts and tax arrangements rather than expecting software to distinguish them automatically. A good match relies on a useful picture of the business, not only its headline turnover.
Include the work after an indicative quote
An acquisition or property transaction can require valuation, legal documentation, existing-lender releases and coordination with a seller. Ask who manages those steps and what the service includes if a condition changes. A quick quote does not establish how quickly a complicated settlement will complete.
If the business has a firm deadline, identify the latest point at which it must choose between waiting and changing the transaction. Ask for costs already incurred and any commitments before instructing additional work. This is more useful than measuring the broker solely by the speed of the initial response.
Costs and consent need to be explicit
Ask Valiant how it is paid, whether you owe a broker fee and whether commissions vary between lenders. Compare net funds, total repayments, recurring charges, security and early-payout terms. A free initial discussion does not describe every potential cost of the subsequent finance.
Valiant advertises quotes without an impact on the credit score. Confirm the point at which the process becomes a formal application and which lender will make any credit enquiry. The initial quote is not unconditional approval.
Separate lower payments from a better refinancing result
Valiant includes refinancing among the purposes it discusses. If the recommendation is to replace existing debt, compare the remaining cost of keeping it with the full replacement schedule, switching charges and debt left at the intended exit date. A longer term can make the monthly repayment look better without lowering the cost.
For an illustration with equal balances, terms and final payments, $1,800 of switching costs needs nine months of a genuine $200 monthly saving to break even. If the plan is to sell the financed asset in six months, the saving would not recover those costs. Use the actual offer and separate any extra borrowing from the refinance calculation.
We would consider Valiant where structuring and coordination are worth paying for, especially with connected funding needs. For one straightforward loan, the test is simpler: does its written offer and service improve on a relevant direct quote after fees, security and timing are included?
Another proposal to consider
Lend offers another matching route. The named-lender comparison helps if you prefer to shortlist products yourself. Use the same funding purpose and realistic repayment period so that different structures do not obscure the true cost.
Sources and review scope
The sources below support the product discussion and dated history. A historical announcement does not establish current pricing or availability. Where official pages disagree, the difference is identified in the review; the provider's written offer determines approval, costs and contractual obligations.
